Where there is rain, there is a chance of flooding. And that is exactly what a group of LSU facility services workers found in B-16 of Lockett Hall.Lorenzo Herold, one of numerous workers walking campus and checking buildings, said Lockett was the only trouble spot thus far.”We’re going building-to-building, checking all the basements to make sure there’s no water. And if they’re is, we’re going to fix whatever problem caused it and just take care of the job. So far, we just found water in Locket Hall. There was about an inch of water there in classroom 16 in the basement.”The workers started checking basements around 8:30 this morning, according to Herold. He said the water came from a small hole in the roof of Lockett that leaked down through the ceiling.Visit lsureveille.com throughout the day for more updates.—-Contact Jay St. Pierre at [email protected]
