LSU coach Les Miles said Wednesday evening that he expects sophomore quarterback Andrew Hatch to play Saturday in the Southeastern Conference home opener against Mississippi State.
“[Hatch] took some throws early on in the week,” Miles said. “We decided to cool him down and rest him and not practice him [Wednesday]. I expect him to play Saturday.”
Hatch sustained a concussion in the third quarter of LSU’s 26-21 win last Saturday at Auburn. Hatch was replaced by Jarrett Lee, who finished the game 11-for-22 for 182 yards and two touchdowns.
