LSU junior running back Charles Scott cracked Sports Illustrated’s Heisman Watch on Monday, ranking No. 7 on the 10-player list.
The Saline native climbed into the top 10 on the heels of a 132-yard rushing performance at Auburn on Saturday, becoming the first LSU running back to rush for 100 yards or more at Auburn.
Scott has now rushed for 394 and four touchdowns on 44 carries on the season.
Missouri senior quarterback Chase Daniel topped Sports Illustrated’s Heisman Watch list.
Georgia sophomore running back Knowshon Moreno and Florida junior quarterback Tim Tebow also represent the Southeastern Conference, weighing in at No. 5 and No. 10, respectively.
Michigan State senior running back Javon Ringer joins Moreno and Scott as the only running backs on the Heisman Watch list.
Moreno has rushed for 455 yards and nine touchdowns on 69 carries this season, while Ringer has compiled 699 yards and and 11 touchdowns on 143 carries.
