After advancing to the Final Four for the fifth-straight time, the LSU women’s basketball team will be on TV 10 times in the 2008-09 season, the Southeastern Conference announced today.
The Lady Tigers’ season opener against Notre Dame on Nov. 16 will be televised on ESPN2.
Also featured on the schedule is a Jan 3 nationally televised game against Connecticut.
Eight other games will be broadcast regionally on either Cox Sports Television or Fox Sports Network.
The exposure will give fans a chance to see several new faces on the Lady Tigers’ roster.
LSU has eight new players in 2008 after losing eight seniors from last year’s team.
“The exposure LSU women’s basketball receives continues to reach new heights,” said Head Coach Van Chancellor. “This will give our fans around the country and the region a chance to watch us on a consistent basis.”
