Senior libero Elena Martinez, senior outside hitter Kyna Washington and junior middle blocker Lauren DiGirolamo were named to the preseason All-Southeastern Conference volleyball team.
The 2008 preseason All-SEC team marks the first time the SEC coaches have selected a preseason all-conference squad.
The three Tigers honored also made LSU the most well-represented school on the All-SEC team.
“We are certainly very excited about having these three players recognized,” LSU coach Fran Flory said in a release. “They have been the foundation of our program for the past several years and we expect them to lead us once again this year.
Two Florida players, senior middle blocker Kelsey Bowers and junior libero Elyse Cusack, made the Gators the second-most represented team.
