The LSU Lady Tigers will be without All-American senior center Sylvia Fowles for two to four weeks after she injured her knee during a Dec. 19 game in Cancun, Mexico.
Fowles underwent arthroscopic surgery on Dec. 21 in Baton Rouge to repair a partial tear in her right knee.
Associate Sports Information Director Brian Miller said Fowles started rehabilitation Wednesday. Miller said Fowles did not travel with the Lady Tigers to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for their game tonight against Middle Tennessee. Allison Hightower will start in place of Sylvia Fowles, Miller said.
The Lady Tigers will face the University of New Orleans in the PMAC on Sunday, marking the first home game for LSU in more than a month.
