Following server crashes during finals and the subsequent week, some students have voiced concerns over the MyPack Portal Web site.
Jenna Rice, a freshman in math education, suggests the Web site shouldbe more organized.
“I wish they could have the Web site more organized,” Rice said. “It’s hard to navigate, but you get the hang of it after a while.” She uses the Web site to look at her schedule and sign up for classes, but Rice said she would use it more if it was less confusing.
Jaclyn Sunseri, a junior in communication, said she has troubleaccessing the Web site, even when she tries different computers and locations.
“It won’t let me log on when I’m in my apartment. And [when I try to logon] at school sometimes, it tells me that my password is wrong when I know it’s not,” Sunseri said.
When she applied for spring semester classes, Sunseri said she was unable to register at her apartment and had to come to campus instead.
Sunseri said some improvements could make the Portal more manageable.
“I wish I could e-mail my adviser with questions and concerns from MyPack,” Sunseri said.
The best solution, according to Rice, would be to get back to the old system.
“I miss Pack Tracks,” Rice said.
