A survey of traffic congestion in the nation’s 100 largest cities ranks Baton Rouge 47th.
The report says traffic congestion in the city has increased 2.9 percent since 2006.
The worst time to travel in the city is between 5 and 6 p.m. on Friday, while the best time is between 9 and 10 a.m. on Friday, according to the report.
The worst bottleneck in the city is on Interstate 12 eastbound near Millerville Road.
New Orleans, which was ranked 42nd, is the only other Louisiana city on the list.
The Los Angeles, New York and Chicago metro areas rank first, second and third on the list, respectively.
