LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri told The Daily Reveille late Wednesday that Michigan State coach David Grewe will be named LSU’s pitching coach at a press conference Thursday.
Mainieri said Grewe will resign his position at Michigan State on Thursday morning.
Mainieri also said Javi Sanchez, who was a volunteer assistant this past season, will be promoted to hitting coach and recruiting coordinator.
Will Davis, who played at LSU from 2004-07, will be promoted from coordinator of baseball operations to volunteer assistant, according to Mainieri.
