Eight LSU players were named to the 2008 Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference teams Monday.
Junior wide receiver Brandon LaFell, senior guard Herman Johnson and junior defensive end Rahim Alem led the way with first-team selections.
Junior offensive tackle Ciron Black, junior running back Charles Scott and senior kicker Colt David were named to the second-team offense. Senior defensive end Tyson Jackson and senior linebacker Darry Beckwith earned second-team defensive honors.
LSU has placed 21 players on All-SEC teams — 15 on the All-SEC first team — since 2005, coach Les Miles’ first season at LSU.
