Sunday brunches are no longer for just Easter dresses and after- church gatherings.
Loan Hoang, manager of Serrano’s Salsa Company on Highland Road, said Sunday brunches are popular with people of all ages.
“We get a good crowd out here,” Hoang said. “There are a lot of after-church people and a good amount of college students.”
Hoang said Serrano’s offers two-for-one mimosas, sangria, Bloody Marias and Bloody Marys. Hoang said the Mexican breakfast offers a variety of menu options that are popular among restaurant guests.
“The huevos rancheros and the torta del sol are the most popular plates,” Hoang said.
Hoang said the Sunday brunches feature a musical artist each week, which she said has been a factor in drawing a large crowd. Serrano’s offers a brunch menu from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Next to Serrano’s, The Chimes also offers a brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant offers drink specials on mimosas and Bloody Marys.
For those 21 and older, downtown Baton Rouge also offers a variety of entertainment during Sunday brunch.
Casino Rouge features a brunch and live music from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Atrium on France Street has breakfast and champagne every Sunday with a musical guest. The brunch consists of a variety of menu options, as well as a breakfast a la carte option.
With many Baton Rouge restaurants offering Sunday brunches, everyone has the opportunity to end the weekend right and to begin the new week with a good start.
