Seventeen women enrolled as freshmen at the University in 1906. One hundred years later, the women’s and gender studies program plans to celebrate 100 Years of Women.
The celebration will be held at the French House at 6 tonight.
Becky Ropers-Huilman, women’s and gender studies program director, said this is an important event for the University to recognize because it will address issues including gender and leadership at the University and in the community.
