Hidden in tiny corners throughout Baton Rouge, the blues music scene can be found in an old bar, a worn guitar and the hands that make it sing.
The Baton Rouge Blues Foundation, started in efforts to provide music education and showcase local blues musicians, will hold its jam session and fundraiser at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Phil Brady’s.
The show will be hosted by local favorite Tab Benoit, and the line-up includes Tabby Thomas, Deacon John, Bobby Campo, Herman Jackson, Buddy Flett and a special surprise guest. Tickets are only $20, and patrons will receive a year-long membership to BRBF.
