Junior guard Tack Minor is no longer on the LSU men’s basketball team or enrolled at the University. The announcement came from the LSU Athletic Department a day after LSU coach John Brady said Minor would not play until “these things” were resolved. According to a Times-Picayune article Monday, a source close to LSU said Minor was rumored to be under an academic investigation similar to one in 2005 that resulted in a fall semester suspension. Sophomore guard Garrett Temple said Brady told the team early Wednesday that Minor would no longer be with the Tigers. Temple said Minor was not present at the team discussion but had previously informed some of his teammates about the announcement. “We feel sorry for Tack,” Temple said. “He’s a great guy, but I guess it’s just the price you have to pay. He has to take his consequences. We hope the best for Tack in whatever he does.” Minor averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 assists per game for the season.
