More than 20 high school students received the 2007 U.S. Army ROTC four-year scholarship awards, the LSU Department of Military Science announced today.
The applicants are chosen based on a student’s merit, grades and extracurricular achievements.
The scholarship awards, announced at high schools across the nation, provide full tuition and allowances for books and fees. The University covers room and board.
“This was another great group of future Army leaders with an average ACT score of 27.5,” Lt. Col. Phillip Pugh Jr., LSU Army ROTC commander said in the news release. “These newest cadets make our Army ROTC program one of the largest in the country.”
