LSU coach Les Miles announced at his weekly Wednesday press conference that linebacker Derrick Odom III and linebacker Jeremy Benton have been kicked off the team.
Quarterback Ryan Perrilloux will not play against Alabama, Miles added.
Odom arrested on simple criminal damage charge — 3:45 p.m.
Derrick Odom III was issued a misdemeanor summons today on a charge of simple criminal damage to property, according to a news release from the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The police have concluded its investigation of the fight that occurred Friday night near the Varsity Theatre.
This is Odom’s third arrest this year.
Sophomore quarterback Ryan Perrilloux was also implicated earlier this week in the alleged altercation, but has not been arrested.
