Just in time for the fall semester, the potential Mike VI arrived in Baton Rouge on a plane from Indiana late Saturday afternoon, according to The Advocate. The tiger will undergo a two-week quarantine period that will determine if the animal will become the University’s next mascot. The University selected the 2-year-old tiger from Great Cats of Indiana, a large-animal rescue shelter, after Mike V died from complications in surgery May 4.
