N. C. Museum of Natural Sciences hosts screening of “Flock of Dodos”Brian Lewis
Randy Olson, a filmmaker and evolutionary ecologist, will present his new film “Flock of Dodos: The Evolution/Intelligent Design Circus” tonight at 7 p.m. in the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences auditorium.
According to an e-mail from the Museum of Natural Sciences, “Flock of Dodos” is the first feature-length documentary to showcase arguments on both sides of the debate between the theory of evolution and the concept of intelligent design.
The movie is set in Olson’s home state, Kansas, and examines the people who are involved in this debate and their tactics. Olson will give a presentation after the movie and answer questions about his film and its topic.
Additional screenings of “Flock of Dodos” will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 and at 7 p.m. on Feb. 12, “Darwin Day.” All screenings are free to the public.
