Smashing Pumpkins and Rage Against the Machine will headline the 2007 Voodoo Music Experience, Steve Rehage, festival founder and producer announced Sunday.
“We thought, ‘if it was my birthday who would I want?” Rehage said.
The University graduate started the Voodoo Music Experience, the only independently owned music festival in the nation, nine years ago.
Black Crowes and Fall Out Boy are only a few of the many acts Rehage has booked for the three-day event. After the admission topped 90,000 last year, the event expanded from two days to three to fit in more acts including both local and nationally-known bands.
The ninth annual festival at City Park in New Orleans will take place Oct. 26-28. Three-day passes go on sale June 29 for $100. The price will increase as the festival approaches.
