The Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus Foundation has recognized associate professor of chemistry Julia Chan and Honors College student Sarah Miller among its 2009 Women of Excellence.
Chan was recognized for outstanding education and research efforts and Miller was acknowledged as a “Young Woman of Excellence,” according to a University news release.
The Women’s Caucus created this prestigious award in 2008 to recognize and honor extraordinary women of outstanding professional excellence across the state for their achievements and contributions, the release states.
