The United States is seeing the highest level of in-home cooking since 1992, according to a news release from the LSU AgCenter about a Louisiana Food Processors Conference.”During the last recession, people went to the grocery stores and bought frozen meals,” said Dr. Liz Sloan, president of Sloan Trends Inc, according to the release. “In this recession, people are buying ingredients and not whole meals.The conference was March 18, and it was attended by more than 100 Louisiana food processors.
