LSU basketball coach Trent Johnson and senior guard Marcus Thornton were named Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year and Player of the Year, respectively, by the Associated Press on Monday.
The SEC coaches awarded Johnson and Thornton the same honors last week.
LSU junior forward Tasmin Mitchell also earned All-SEC first team honors. Senior center Chris Johnson was named to the All-SEC second team.
