The 2009 LSU Tiger Tour, a promotional tour for LSU athletics, will make 12 stops during the spring and summer, the LSU athletic department announced Wednesday.The tour begins April 29 in Alexandria at the Alexandria Riverfront Center and ends in Baton Rouge on July 30 at the PMAC. The tour will also visit Lafayette, Shreveport, Monroe, Houma, Covington, Lake Charles and New Orleans.The tour will visit three cities outside Louisiana — Pensacola, Fla., Atlanta and Houston. It is the first time the tour stops in Atlanta.LSU football coach Les Miles will be featured in the tour, along with men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson, women’s basketball coach Van Chancellor, athletic director Joe Alleva, Chancellor Michael Martin and General Ron Richard, CEO of Tiger Athletic Foundation.LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri will join the tour after baseball season ends.
