LSU sophomore pitcher Austin Ross was named Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Wednesday.
Ross won his first honor earlier this month for a six-inning shutout performance against Central Florida.
The Shreveport native is also the third straight Tiger pitcher to win the honor. Senior pitcher Louis Coleman and freshman pitcher Matty Ott won the last two.
Ross pitched eight innings Sunday against Ole Miss, limiting the Rebels to one run and two hits in LSU’s 2-1 win. He has a 4-2 record an a 2.48 ERA this season.
