LSU will have 16 entries the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend at College Station, Texas, the LSU Athletic Department announced late Tuesday evening.
The No. 3 Lady Tigers will send nine athletes for 10 different events.
Junior sprinter Samantha Henry is the only Lady Tiger running two events, the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, both of which she ran last year at the NCAA Indoor Championships as well.
The No. 9 Tigers are sending five athletes and the men’s 4×400-meter relay team.
Sophomore weight thrower Walter Henning enters the competition No. 2 nationally behind Missouri senior Chris Rohr, whom Henning beat at this year’s Southeastern Conference/Big 12 Challenge.
Junior Trindon Holliday also enters No. 2 nationally for his event, the 60-meter dash. He finished runner-up to teammate Richard Thompson last year at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a personal-best time of 6.54 seconds.
The meet begins Friday at Texas A&M’s Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.
