LSU pole vaulter Rachel Laurent was named the 2009 Indoor Co-Southeastern Conference Female Freshman Field Athlete of the Year, the league office announced Thursday.Laurent made her mark at LSU at the SEC Indoor Championships, breaking her personal record and winning the event with a jump of 14 feet, 1/2 inch.Freshman Robert Simmons joined Laurent on the SEC All-Freshman Team.
