Stephen Sawin, professor at Fairfield University, is lecturing today from 3:40 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in room 285 of Lockett Hall.The lecture will include Sawin’s modern perspective on several mathematical theories, including supersymmetry, quantum mechanics and Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem.”Math is a wrap onto how the universe behaves,” Sawin said. “These topics are just a warm-up for students to understand physics.”This event is free and open to the public.—-Contact Kimberly Brown at [email protected]
