BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Wondering where the state’s spending its slice of the federal stimulus package? The Jindal administration has launched a Web site to track the spending once it begins.
The site, www.stimulus.la.gov, will be updated as details become available, according to the governor’s Division of Administration.
Louisiana is eligible to receive an estimated $3.5 billion or more in stimulus money.
The Division of Administration also announced the start of a searchable online database of state grants and federal grants administered by state government.
The site is www.laegrants.la.gov. Users can search through more than 147 grants by agency, category, eligibility criteria or keyword. The site will be updated quarterly.—-Contact The Daily Reveille news staff at [email protected]
