The Faculty Senate executive committee is distributing a March 10 letter on the budget debate to faculty members. The letter, entitled “A Letter to the Faculty on the Budget Debate,” ensures the Executive Committee will work to protect faculty interests and cope with the “various threats” facing the University. It also outlined the three major issues of the budget crisis in the eyes of the Executive Committee — what constitutes an economic emergency, the merit behind both financial exigency or a furlough plan and faculty representation. ——Contact Lindsey Meaux at [email protected]
