The Paul M. Herbert Law Center will honor Boyd Professor of Law Saul Livinoff for his 43 years with the school at the annual Chancellor’s Council event to be held Friday, March 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Coast, Energy and Environment Building. Law Chancellor Jack Weiss will pay tribute to Livinoff as well as notable graduates of the Law Center James Carville, Cordell Haymon, Loren Kleinpeter, Bill Wilson, Dean Sutherland and Cindy Samuel, accoring to a Law Center Office of Communications and External Relations news release.The Chancellor’s Council is comprised of alumni and friends of the LSU Law Center “who support the institution at the leadership level of the Annual Fund,” according to the release.Livinhoff has published at least 17 books, which cover “everything from Louisiana’s civil law on Obligations and Sales to the banking laws of Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico,” according to the release. ——Contact Nicholas Persac at [email protected]
