The LSU gymnastics team finished sixth nationally in home attendance by GymInfo, the LSU Athletic Department announced Tuesday.
LSU averaged 3,732 fans per home meet this season, up from 3,336 in 2008. It is the highest average in program history.
LSU has now been ranked in the top 10 in home attendance for six straight seasons. GymInfo’s rankings are based on average home attendance.
The largest crowd this season came March 7, when 4,369 fans watched LSU’s second annual Etta James Memorial Meet against NC State.
The Tigers also made their second Super Six appearance in school history this season, finishing sixth.
