Former LSU wide receiver Demetrius Byrd has made “tremendous progress” after a car accident early Sunday morning that put him in the hospital, the LSU Athletic Department announced Wednesday in a news release.
Byrd was put in the intensive care unit after getting in a car accident in Miami. The news release said Byrd has been “alert and responsive” to both doctors and his mother two days after the accident.
Byrd is still expected to make a full recovery.
