LSU junior free safety Chad Jones said Thursday he will return to the LSU baseball team early next week.
“I talked to Coach [Paul] Mainieri, and I’m coming back Monday,” Jones said.
Jones said he hopes to be back on the field for LSU’s midweek game against Louisiana-Lafayette in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic in Metairie.
“I should make that trip [to New Orleans] if I make the travel roster,” he said.
