BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A Shreveport lawmaker has completed his second annual walk to the state Capitol, designed to raise awareness about autism and childhood obesity.
Rep. Patrick Williams wrapped up the 226-mile trek to Baton Rouge on Thursday, arriving with a walking stick and a crowd of supporters.
Williams, a Democrat, finished the journey in less than two weeks. He left Shreveport on April 3.
