NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Sen. Mary Landrieu is touting the allocation of $3.5 million in federal stimulus money for fish and wildlife services in Louisiana.
Landrieu, in a Monday news release, says the money will help create jobs and conserve wildlife in the state.
Among the spending allocations listed by Landrieu is $100,000 to Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge for Visitor Center exhibits and more than $2 million to the Upper Ouachita National Wildlife Refuge to demolish 17 miles of levees that will be returned to a productive natural habitat.
