The LSU women’s tennis team is ranked No. 23 in the latest Campbell/ITA Rankings, the LSU Athletic Department announced Tuesday.
Senior Megan Falcon is No. 13 individually, and Falcon and senior Mykala Hedberg are the No. 19 doubles team in the country.
Falcon and Hedberg jumped six spots after their defeat of Arkansas’ then-No. 20 duo of Nanar Airapetian and Anouk Tigu. The LSU duo is 26-7 on the season and has defeated eight nationally-ranked opponents.
LSU is one of nine Southeastern Conference teams in the top 25. They are No. 3 Georgia, No. 10 Tennessee, No. 14 Arkansas, No. 15 Florida, No. 19 Vanderbilt, No. 22 South Carolina, No. 24 Alabama and No. 25 Kentucky.
The Lady Tigers begin the SEC tournament Thursday when they face Ole Miss at the UA Varsity Tennis Courts in Fayetteville, Ark.
