Senior jumper Jeremy Hicks was named Southeastern Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Hicks won the long jump at last weekend’s Penn Relays in Philadelphia on his final jump of the event.
His jump of 26 feet, 3 inches was a new outdoor personal best for Hicks and an NCAA-leading mark so far this season.
LSU’s next competition takes place May 15-17 when the Tigers and Lady Tigers travel to Gainesville, Fla., for the SEC Outdoor Championships.
