BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The Louisiana High School Athletic Association says it is keeping a close eye on flu — and as of now, all spring state championships will continue as scheduled.
Commissioner Kenny Henderson says all schools in the league remain open.
He says the group’s top priority is students’ safety and well being, and he is staying in close touch with principals, health officials and the state education department.
State championships are scheduled Friday and Saturday for softball and gymnastics; Monday through next Saturday for tennis and boys golf; Thursday through next Saturday for outdoor track; and May 11-13 for baseball.
