LSU men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson has been named a finalist for the Clair Bee Coach of the Year Award, the LSU Athletic Department announced Thursday.
The award is presented by Chip Hilton Sports and the National Assocation of Basketball Coaches. The award honors a coach who has shown character both on and off the court.
Other finalists include Missouri coach Mike Anderson, Radford coach Brad Greenberg and Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy.
Johnson led LSU to a 27-8 record an the Southeastern Conference regular season championship this season.
