BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Baton Rouge Police say a man was shot and killed after attacking a tenant with a horseshoe.
Capt. James Wingate said the man was intoxicated and belligerent. Wingate said the man banged on the door of his tenants who live in a unit attached to his home Sunday night.
He says once the landlord went inside the apartment, he hit a woman with a horseshoe.
Wingate said another woman inside the residence then shot the landlord with a handgun and he died at the scene.
Police say both women were taken in for questioning and the investigation is ongoing.
The landlord’s name has not been released.
