Her last title came at the Central District Invitational in mid-February. “Megan put three wonderful rounds together, and I’m happy for her to get this second title,” Bahnsen said in a news release. Her final round performance also propelled the Lady Tigers to their second team tournament title this season and first of the spring. The Lady Tigers won the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Intercollegiate Championship back in October.LSU shot a 7-over 295 to finish with a three-day total of 23-over 887.No. 4 Virginia finished a close second at 27-over 891.”I am so proud of the team from top to bottom,” Bahnsen said. “It was a great learning experience for the girls.”The Lady Tigers had two other golfers finish in the top-10, with freshman Tessa Teachman and senior Jacqueline Hedwall tying for ninth place at 7-over 223.Teachman got off to a roaring start in Friday’s opening round with a 4-under 68, but stumbled over the final 36 holes, finishing with 12 bogeys.Senior Caroline Martens also enjoyed a strong performance, finishing tied for 13th after shooting a 10-over 226 for the weekend.
