BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana’s state-licensed casinos won $218 million from gamblers in March, a drop from both the previous month and March 2008.
State police say the 13 riverboats won about $150 million, Harrah’s downtown New Orleans casino took in $32 million and slot machine casinos at race tracks won another $36 million.
The February take was $222 million, while the tally for March 2008 was a shade below $230 million.
The figures don’t include the three Indian reservation casinos operating in Louisiana.—-Contact The Daily Reveille news staff at [email protected]
