Former LSU women’s basketball player Seimone Augustus was named the 2009 EuroCup Player of the Year, the LSU Athletic Department announced Thursday.
Augustus averaged 20 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game this season and led her team to the EuroCup championship this season.
The Baton Rouge native also plays for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA, who start their season in June.
Augustus is the only three-time State Farm All-American in school history and was named National Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006.
