Senior running back Charles Scott was back in practice Tuesday after missing Monday because of academic issues, LSU football coach Les Miles said.”He had some academic issues he needed to take care of,” Miles said. “We enjoyed his presence today.”Miles said senior safety Harry Coleman will also be seeing time at linebacker.”We’re better when [Coleman] gets comfortable there,” Miles said. “We need somebody else to step in there and give us another linebacker-style body with all the spread offenses we’re going to see.”Miles said freshman quarterback Russell Shepard practiced at running back and quarterback Tuesday, but he said Shepard will likely only play quarterback at Saturday’s spring game.”I don’t know how multiple he will play on Saturday,” Miles said. “I don’t know if he will play any positions other than quarterback.”Contact Rachel Whittaker at [email protected]
