LSU sophomore pitcher Anthony Ranaudo was named one of six Louisville Slugger National Players of the Week, the Southeastern Conference office announced Monday.
Ranaudo set a career high in strikeouts with 15 against Auburn on Friday. The 15 strikeouts are the most by an LSU pitcher in an SEC game since former Tiger Kurt Ainsworth struck out 16 batters against Tennessee in 1999.
LSU freshman pitcher Matty Ott was also named SEC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
Ott picked up a win and three saves on the week in four appearances, pitching 5 2/3 scoreless innings while giving up three hits.
LSU faces Tulane on Tuesday in Alex Box Stadium.
