NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent wide receiver D’Juan Woods, who spent most of the past two seasons on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad.
Woods, a 6-1, 210-pound receiver, signed with the Jaguars in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. He appeared in one regular season game, but recorded no statistics. He caught eight passes for 100 yards in the two preseason games he played with Jacksonville.
In announcing Woods’ acquisition Wednesday, General Manager Mickey Loomis also said that the team has waived quarterback Patrick Cowan, who was signed by the Saints as a rookie free agent earlier this month.—-Contact The Daily Reveille sports staff at [email protected]
