LSU senior pitcher Louis Coleman has won Louisiana Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Week, the LSU Athletic Department announced Tuesday.
Coleman paced LSU to a 5-0 win against Arkansas on Saturday, pitching a complete-game shutout with six strikeouts.
He is the first Tiger pitcher to record a complete-game shutout since Greg Smith in 2005 against Vanderbilt.
Coleman leads the Southeastern Conference in wins with a 9-2 record to go along with a 2.71 ERA and 92 strikeouts.
The Schlater, Miss., native was also named SEC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
