JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran quarterback Todd Bouman, giving Cleo Lemon competition for the backup position.
Lemon beat out Bouman for the spot during training camp last year, but he struggled during the team’s minicamp earlier this month.
Bouman, entering his 11th season, also has played for Minnesota, New Orleans and Baltimore. He started three games for the Vikings in 2001 and three games for the Saints in 2005. He served as Baltimore’s third-string quarterback most of last season. He spent four weeks on Jacksonville’s roster in 2007.
Bouman has thrown for 1,683 yards in his career, with 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.—-Contact The Daily Reveille sports staff at [email protected]
