LSU students, fans and faculty who can’t get enough of the purple-and-gold now have even more outlets for their team spirit.The LSU soccer team and track and field teams will now utilize their own Twitter accounts, Will Stafford, team spokesman for the LSU soccer and track and field teams, announced on Tuesday in two news releases.Stafford and LSU soccer coach Brian Lee will periodically update the soccer team’s Twitter, while Stafford and LSU track and field coach Dennis Shaver will control the track and field Twitter.Fans can access find these Twitter accounts, along with other LSU Athletic Department Twitters at www.lsusports.net/twitter and also sign up for potential text-message updates of the different Twitter accounts.In addition to the soccer and track and field Twitters, the LSU Athletic Department lists LSU Sports, LSU Sports news, LSU football coach Les Miles, LSU women’s basketball associate head coach Bob Starkey and Mike the Tiger as possible accounts for fans to follow.—-Contact Jerit Roser at [email protected]
