LSU may be in the running to sign Rivals.com five-star running back Bryce Brown, The Times-Picayune reported Wednesday evening.
The Witchita, Kan., native verbally committed to Miami in Feb. 2008 but has yet to sign a national letter of intent. National Signing Day for 2009 college football recruits was Feb. 4.
Brown also has offers from Clemson, Kansas State, Oregon, USC, Tennessee and Missouri, according to Rivals.
Brown rushed for 1,873 yards and 29 touchdowns his senior year at Wichita East High School. He is Rivals’ No. 1 ranked prospect.
He has yet to take an official visit to Miami, according to The Times-Picayune. His brother, Arthur, is a linebacker at Miami and was a 2008 blue-chip prospect.
